Nicole has always held a deep love for the outdoors and nature. So much so, that she turned it into her career! After completing a year long internship at Longwood Gardens, Nicole realized how fascinating trees are. She has since worked at multiple arboretums and has pursued her career in arboriculture and land stewardship, basically caring for the trees around her and the land they grow on. She is an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist since 2022.

It wasn't until working with a wide variety of different types of wood that she realized she could combine her lifelong passion for art with her passion for trees! Pyrography, or the art of wood-burning, has been her way of expressing her love for the beauty of the natural world on a medium that tells a story. Each piece of wood holds memories, and it is Nicole's mission to create an appreciation through her artwork.

When Nicole isn't wood-burning, she can be found tree or rock climbing, trying new restaurants with her friends and family, or gardening.
